Certified Livestock Transport (CLT)

The CLT program focuses on the humane and safe transportation of livestock and was developed by Alberta Farm Animal Care in collaboration with an Industry Advisory Group. FACS’ certified CLT instructor Ken McDonald presents the course in a straightforward manner, utilizing effective power point slides and videos, the easy to use Training Manual, as well as personal anecdotes and practical advice.

Once the transport requirements for each subject area – cattle, sheep, pigs and horses – are presented and discussed, participants are required to undergo ‘open book’ tests, which are forwarded to the AFAC office. The AFAC office grades the tests and issues the CLT certificates. To arrange for a CLT course call Ken McDonald at 306-695-0121, fax: 306-695-3927, email: ken.mcdonald@sasktel.net
