2010 FACS Media Training

So many people in the agricultural industry wanted to hone their media relations skills there was a waiting list for the latest FACS media training day. Representatives of the livestock industry and other agricultural sectors could learn by participating in two mock TV interviews and a media scrum.

Participants traveled from near the Saskatchewan/United States border and even Alberta for the unique hands-on opportunity.  Many thanks to Kevin Hursh of Hursh Consulting and Communications Inc.; CJWW Agricultural Director Neil Billinger; FACS Executive Adele Buettner; and  Heather Macdonald, AgriBiz Communication Specialist for sharing their knowledge.  Participants reported feeling more confident of having a professional presence, when representing the agricultural industry in the media.
