Billboards . . .

In an effort to increase public awareness about the importance of animal agriculture, FACS implemented a provincial billboard campaign. With the support of partnering organizations, the billboards were situated in highly visible locations throughout Saskatchewan during November and December, a time when the province hosts a series of major agricultural shows and events that draw in thousands of international visitors. The 1996 campaign was rated on of the top three billboard campaigns in the province of Saskatchewan for visibility, and was sponsored by Royal Bank, Managro Harvestore, and VIDO. Artwork from the 1996 campaign was used again in 1999. Following the success of the 1996 campaign, a new billboard was implemented in 1997, sponsored by Heartland Livestock Services, Hoechst Roussel Vet (Now Intervet), and VIDO. The 1998 billboard featured the work of renowned prairie artist Dawn Dickenson and was sponsored by Heartland Livestock
Services
