Tales from the FACS Farm

Faith the Animal Care Specialist

This exciting new adventure by FACS made its debut in August 2008 at the Saskatchewan Theatre Fringe Festival and the Prairieland AG EXperience at the Saskatoon Ex.

Cuddles (the Chicken), Moona (the Milk Cow) and friends always make learning fun. In October 2010, they played the zany game show “Where’d That Come From?’ to teach Saskatchewan school children food comes from the farm, not the fridge. The interactive show - a production of the Farm Animal Council of Saskatchewan (FACS) and Wide Open Theatrical Escapades – visited schools in Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw, and Eastend. Educators recognize the annual tour by characters from a Farm in Friendly, SK as a valuable way to teach the realities of modern livestock and poultry production in an imaginative yet factual way.

Tales from the FACS Farm was highlighted in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix on October 21, 2010 and in The Western Producer on October 29, 2010. Click images to view full size pages.
