Working with animals is simply part of growing up on a ranch.  Take Britany and Vanna Silzer for example.  While bison require less “hands on” labor than other livestock, their dad, Mark, has fond memories of Britany and Vanna helping out, when it came time to wean and tag the animals in the fall.  The Silzers have been in the bison business near Humboldt since 1994.
